JJ Communication (JJ Comm) is a full-service advertising agency creating forward-thinking campaigns across television, billboards, print ads, and everything in between.

In 1992, a small agency was born in a single room. In subsequent years, it thrived and became one of the largest advertising agencies in Indonesia.

Since its founding in 1992, JJ Comm has 322 commercials with 15 released in 2016 and 5 commercials going into production in February 2017. In addition to that, JJ Comm currently has thousands of commercials on the air as well as multiple print ads on various magazines and newspapers in Indonesia.

JJ Comm offers a comprehensive range of media planning and buying. We bring a meticulous approach to all media practices, with media and brand planners working side by side as a team in close collaboration with creative and account management. Additionally, JJ Comm’s activation team develops and creates remarkable work for our clients by connecting brands to culture—people, places, events, and partners—in various ways that capture consumers’ hearts and spur them to action. Our activation experts work closely with account, planning, creative, digital, and design teams to ensure flawless integration. Jessica Kartika

President & CEO, JJ Group

As President & Chief Executive Officer of JJ Comm, Jessica Kartika is at the forefront of a multidisciplinary marketing services organization that creates communications solutions for many brands. She brings a wealth of industry experience and an entrepreneurial vision to lead an agency that uses the power of data and creativity to drive business for clients. Jessica has been instrumental in helping define JJ Comm’s client services, product strategy, and product design methodologies as JJ Comm has grown from a startup company into a national experience agency. 

Under her leadership the last 21 years, JJ Comm has experienced significant growth and the acquisition of new accounts and top talent, while delivering some of the most compelling, effective, and talked-about integrated campaigns for blue-chip clients including The Wings Group, LG, New Era, So Klin, and TOP Coffee among others. Jessica believes JJ Comm has the talent, tools and infrastructure to bring creative work to the market. 

Prior to joining JJ Comm, Jessica began her career at Toyota Astra and HM Sampoerna. During her tenure at both companies, Jessica spearheaded a number of projects which cemented her love for marketing.

According to Jessica, leading the business—and the incredible people who work within it—is both “inspiring and humbling”. Jessica received a degree from a private university in Indonesia. She lives in Jakarta with her daughter.
 

Tjahjo Hartono

Vice President, JJ Group

Tjahjo has been a part of JJ Group’s success for over 20 years helping to build and shape the agency with his leadership on a number of accounts. His responsibilities as Vice President of JJ Group involve leading the networks’ top talent for continuous success for clients’ brands in addition to enhancing network integration, collaboration, and growth. Today, he leads a team of production, design, and technology professionals and has built a reputation for incubating emerging fields of expertise at JJ Group, including industrial design and billboard production.

Tjahjo has a proven track record of multi-channel success–handling billboard productions for clients including Djarum, Gudang Garam, Garuda Indonesia, Wings Group, and Yamaha among others.

He’s adept at managing chaos at work and at home, where he and his wife, are raising two girls and a boy.

Daniel Cahyadi

Chief Operating Officer, JJ Group

Daniel Cahyadi is Chief Operating Officer at JJ Group, leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations that are creating new ground for the people working within the company by leading them in an ever-changing working environment. He is also in charge of the agency’s human resource and career development programs across all JJ Group offices. According to Daniel, everyone working in JJ Group should be an agent of change within the organization: constantly working to build, curate, and cultivate relationships both within the company and among clients and partners. He applies JJ Group’s user-first mentality to every hire, transition, and appointment.

Daniel has more than a decade of experience as Chief Operating Officer and Human Resources Director, giving him an immense network of talent in every discipline, from planning and strategy to business development.

Outside the office, he is an avid painter and has an extensive collection of artworks. He maintains an interest in photography, and lives in Surabaya with his wife and daughter.

Hendro Mulyono

Creative Director, JJ Comm Jakarta

As Creative Director of JJ Comm, Hendro serves as creative leader and is responsible for setting the creative vision for the agency. He oversees JJ Comm’s creative teams in Jakarta, and has more than a decade of experience developing award-winning creative ideas and experiences.  Self-described as “passionate, curious, and creative”, Hendro has seen plenty of change in the advertising industry over the past decade. But there has been at least one constant: his overarching belief that creativity is the most important asset in business. Hendro’s mission is to lead the group’s unrivaled creative firepower and become an indispensable creative partner to leading brands.

Prior to JJ Comm, Hendro was Chief Creative Officer at Asatsu-DK, where he oversaw the agency’s creative department and worked on brands including Suzuki Corporate, Dunlop, Uniqlo, Gatsby, Lotte Duty Free, and Haier among others.

Previously, Hendro was Senior Art Director at Ogilvy & Mather Indonesia leading its creative teams and working with clients including Unicef, Yahoo!, Pond’s, Levi’s, BII Maybank, CIMB Sunlife, Polo, Mizone, and Sara Lee. He has also had positions as Art Director at Fortune Indonesia, Saatchi & Saatchi Indonesia, Bintang Pratama, and MACS 909 working alongside clients including Honda, Telkomsel, Mandiri Bank, Biskuat, and Panasonic among others.

A Surabayan and copywriter by trade, Hendro lives in Jakarta.

Hendro Sangaji

Creative Director, JJ Comm Surabaya

Hendro’s primary role as Creative Director in JJ Comm Surabaya is to drive innovation and connected solutions across all marketing campaigns for the company’s national client portfolio. Hendro has been with JJ Comm for almost 20 years, before which he worked at various agencies where he held a variety of roles.

As Creative Director, Hendro has championed the company’s creative teams, and is responsible for the quality of the agency’s creative outputs for clients. Under his leadership, JJ Comm Surabaya has created some of the most talked-about campaigns and designs in the city.

A creative aficionado at heart, Hendro has played a critical role in JJ Comm as he was one of the first who joined the agency. He now lives in Surabaya with his wife and their three children. His career has been characterized by passion, commitment, loyalty, and an ability to deliver results by harnessing talented teams both among clients and within the agency.

Bambang Agung W.

Creative Director, JJ Comm Jakarta

Since joining JJ Comm Jakarta as Creative Director in 2014, Bambang has led the agency into a creative resurgence with a slew of wins with various challenger brands. He is passionate about uncovering brand ideas that lead to powerful emotional connections with consumers, in turn accelerating the brand’s full potential. His career has spanned numerous agencies and specialties–before joining JJ Comm, Bambang was Chief Creative Officer at Ideanest Communications, working with clients including PT. PLN, Bank Indonesia, The Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, and Pertamina among others.

Over the course of his 25+ years in advertising, Bambang has worked across the full integrated spectrum, giving him a holistic perspective that elevates his work at JJ Comm. Previously, he was Chief Creative Officer at The Partners, where he led high-profile programs for clients including BRI and Indofood. Prior to that, he was Chief Creative Officer at Maha Cipta Indonesia, with clients such as Telkom and Kementerian Dalam Negeri. He also worked as Multimedia Manager at Computino in 1997, handling creative works for clients including Mandiri Bank, Pertamina, and Telkom. His expertise and focus on results has allowed Bambang to be a trusted partner time and time again.
